Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy explains what information Muneem collects when you use it, why, where it is kept, and the choices you have. Muneem is operated by Vishal Kumar, an individual based in India (“we”, “us”). We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, email vishalkr6604@gmail.com.
The short version
- We collect only what you give us to run your account and make your bills.
- We do not sell your data or show ads. We use analytics cookies only if you allow them.
- Only you can see the bills, customers and files in your account.
- Your bills and records are stored in India.
- You can ask us to export or delete everything at any time.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up we receive your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. With email sign-up we also store a securely hashed version of your password; we never see the password itself.
Information you enter. Everything you type or upload into Muneem to make bills: your business profile (such as business name, address, GSTIN, PAN, bank details, UPI ID and logo), customers, items and prices, invoices, quotations, receipts and other documents, payments, templates, settings, and, if you use the household features, expenses, fixed payments and investment details. You may also attach files such as photos or PDFs of bills.
Activity history. Muneem keeps a record of important changes inside your account (for example “invoice finalized” or “customer deleted”) so you can see what happened and when. This history is part of your data and only you can see it.
Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which are used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Usage statistics, only if you allow them. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see how the site is used: pages viewed, time spent, the device and browser type, the approximate city or country, the website that referred you, and whether someone signed up or signed in (and whether with Google or email). This information is not linked to your name, email address or the contents of your bills, and IP addresses are anonymized.
We do not collect information from your contacts, location, camera or microphone.
2. Information about your customers
When you add a customer or put their details on a bill, you are deciding to process that person's information for your own business or household. You are responsible for having a valid reason to do so and for telling them where required. We store and process that information only on your instructions and only to provide Muneem to you.
3. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To store your bills, templates and records and show them on any device you sign in on.
- To do the calculations you ask for, such as totals, GST and amounts in words, and to produce PDFs and exports.
- To send essential emails about your account, such as verifying your email address or resetting your password.
- To keep the service working, prevent misuse and fix problems.
- If you allow analytics cookies, to understand how many people visit, which pages are useful, and how to improve Muneem.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, sell it, rent it, or use the contents of your bills to build profiles about you or your customers.
4. Google sign-in
If you choose “Continue with Google”, we use the name, email address and profile picture that Google shares only to create your account and sign you in. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or any other Google data, and we do not share Google account information with anyone. Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. Where your data is stored
Your bills, customers, templates and other records are stored on secure cloud servers in Delhi, India. Sign-in details (your name, email address and, for email sign-up, your hashed password) are handled by Google's sign-in service, which may process them on servers outside India. Files you attach are kept with your account when online file storage is available; otherwise they stay on the device where you added them. To make Muneem fast and usable offline, a working copy of your data is also kept in your web browser on each device you sign in on. Signing out removes that copy from the device.
7. How we protect it
- All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Access rules on our database let each signed-in user read and change only their own records.
- Passwords are never stored in readable form.
- Finalized bills are locked, and important changes are recorded in your activity history.
No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong password, sign out on shared computers, and tell us at vishalkr6604@gmail.com if you notice anything suspicious. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and everything in it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer. Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire.
Remember that you may be required by tax law to keep copies of your own invoices for several years. Download what you need (PDF, Excel or the backup file under Settings) before asking for deletion.
9. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws, you can:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Correct or update it. Most of it you can edit yourself in the app.
- Ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent by closing your account.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
You can export your data at any time from Settings > Backup, restore & export. For anything else, email vishalkr6604@gmail.com from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.
11. Children
Muneem is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
13. Contact and grievances
